Mercopress news agency reports that the USS George Washington, a nuclear powered aircraft carrier, will join ships of the navies of Argentina and Brazil in April for exercises off the coast of South America.
Since the Falklands War, participation in the exercises has fallen off.
The US supported Britain against Argentina.
