The Guardian and the AP quotes US and Suez Canal officials as saying that the USS Ross will also help to replace the Cole off of Lebanon's coast.
The Cole is moving with other US vessels through the Canal to the Red Sea.
Navyshipnews.com reports only open source information about US ships and information from authorized US Navy personnel or Web pages.
It seems unwise to be the first to release information about US ships moving through the restricted waters of the Canal. I note the news here only because major news sources have already released it on the wire and many other papers have published it.

Someone at the AP apparently can't spell Ross.
The USS Ors must have recently been deployed from President Roosevelt's base at Shangri-La. :)
